Roissy Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport is located 25km north of Paris. A taxi ride to city center usually takes between 25 and 45 minutes depending on trafic conditions and destination (Right or left bank).
Orly (ORY) airport is located 10km south of Paris. A taxi ride to city center usually takes between 15 and 35 minutes. Taxi ranks are located just outside both terminals, South and West.
Getting to or from Beauvais airport by taxi takes about one hour as it is situated 100km away from the Paris. As a consequence the cost for a cab transfer is rather expensive.
Paris also has its share of illegal taxicabs. Visitors should be aware that a licensed taxi has a sign on the roof and that the driver will never come to ask arriving passengers if they need a ride. To make sure to take a licensed cab follow the taxis sign and queue in the designated area.
There is a flat rate for service between Orly or Roissy de Gaulle airport and Paris city center (surcharge excluded). Yet the price is different from one airport to the other and also depends on the exact location of the origin or destination downtown Paris (Right or left bank of the Seine River).
